The tranquil city untouched by the passing of time: Amatsu.
Amatsu, much like the city of Payon , evokes feelings of nostalgia with
its traditional style buildings.
Where Payon can be likened to ancient Korea , the environment of Amatsu is that of an older Japan , from the lanterns and silk cloth hung by the windows, to the jugs used to ferment soy which is used to make the now popular sauce soy sauce.
The groves that blossom all day, all week, and all year long in Amatsu exude a sense of peace and serenity that seems to have been forgotten amidst the fierce battles within the Rune-Midgard kingdom.
As you walk in the city of Amatsu , you will encounter many references to ancient Japanese life, such as the intricate Gold and Red imperialdesigns found within the castle and main buildings, and the mysterious
Tori gates.
Shaped like the Chinese character for ˇ®heaven,' the Tori Gate symbolized the passage between the mortal plane and the heavens. It is this sense of bewitching mystery that belies the tranquility and nostalgia of Amatsu.
