| After wandering, jobless, he/she
sees an official notice for recruiting
adventurers, posted by King Tristan
3rd. The notice says, 'You can
have different types of jobs depending
on your effort'. He/She picks
his/her body up, the body that
usually doesn't move, and steps
into the world of adventure.
Without money, and just the
Knife and Cotton Shirt given
by the King, he/she sets out
to the tough battle against
monsters.

They have no special
skills, but there
is the determination
to achieve something
with every movement
of the knife. |

A Special feature |

|
|
A beginning adventurer on his/her
first journey. A Novice can
obtain 9 basic skill levels
by leveling up. These skills
include essential features
to play the game. One must
train hard from the beginning
to be able to change jobs.

Special
Skill
The 'First Aid' and
'Play Dead' skills are only available to those
that put their effort into it. They are additional
skills that can be obtained through different
quests. Try searching for the hidden Novice
skills. You should be able to find some help
in the city of Prontera. |

First Aid
Skill that allows
the restoration
of 5 HP using
3 SP.
You can get this
skill at Novice
level 5. Available
to all jobs.

|
|
|
Play Dead
Skill that allows you to pretend
as if you were dead. The monster
no longer attacks. It is very
useful at the beginning of
the journey
Can't use after changing jobs.
