Hey Heim, can you test (or post your test results if you have already) which of Icepick EDP SinX or (whatever LK's use to break emp nowadays) Frenzy LK, both fully geared, break the new emp the fastest (and how fast)? |
Depending on the stats and how good the char should survive in WoE situations, LK should be the faster breaker, use a calculator yourself and see the results. |

| I'd like to see Bapho card testing revisited with the following skills/abilities:
Grand cross
Heat
Union (seperately and with heat)
Since all 3 of these perform quite differently to other skills with relation to autocasting and proc'ing stuff. |

Not sure, try running a test with hunterfly card or rideword hat since all 3 of them are "% change to get x% of damage back as hp"

I do know that orleans glove drops from Jewelry box. I haven't seen or heard of ep.13 items from it yet. |

| With the increase of exp and drop rates to 150% for premium servers and the mentioning of rounding issues with low % drop items, I have a question on the effects of rounding with high efficiency gum/gum. Is the rounding done before or after the effects of high efficiency gum?
For example, card drop rates are mostly .01%. With the new drop rate increase of 150%, cards would drop at .01% x 150% = .015%. With rounding, it would be .02%.
Add in the 200% effect of high efficiency gum, does the game calculate it as .015% x 200% = .03% OR is it .02% x 200% = .04%?
Add in the 150% effect of normal gum, is it calculated as .015% x 150% = .0225%, rounding it to .02% OR is it .02% x 150% = .03%?
Thanks for your time and hopefully I can obtain a clear answer. |

about your gum questions
|
First of all, regular gum is 2x drop and HE gum is 3x drop. The rounding is done first, and gum does not directly multiply the drop rates.
But in reality, using gum or HE gum lets you roll a 2nd (or 3rd for HE) time to see if the item will drop.
What it does is let's say you're trying to get a Valkyrian Shoes which is 45% on premium server. Having regular gum would mean that if your 45% chance fails, then you get another 45% chance to see if it would drop (HE gum would give you a 3rd time to check if it drops, still at a 45% rate)
It would be as if you killed 2 separate valks (or 3 for HE). But once you get a successful roll (the item drops) then it will no longer check your extra 2nd (or 3rd) roll.
The easiest way to calculate gum drop rates is:
1) Figure out your chance to fail on a regular kill. (Since valk shoes has a 45% chance to drop, then you have a 55% chance it won't)
2) Take that chance to fail percent, and raise it to the second power (or 3rd power for HE). (For valk shoes, that's 55%^2 = 30.25% or 55%^3=16.375% chance to fail.)
3) Do (100% - (% you calculated)). (For valk shoes, that's 100%-30.25% = 69.75% chance to drop on regular gum, and 100%-16.375%=83.625% chance to drop on HE)

| Thank you for your reply and correction. I should have looked up the increase drop % prior to posting.
May I inquire as to where you recieve the info on the extra "rolls" with gum or is it an assumption based on the fact that items that normally drop 50%+ still don't drop after using gum?
If possible, I'd like an official reply from a GM regarding whether rounding is applied first.
Thanks!

| Me and a few friends are having a dispute on some things which may already be answered.
I request a test to be done to see that even though the game shows 999,999 dmg it actually does do more (if you could please) Or if there is a link already showing pictures and proof or a Fraps video would be highly appreciated. |

@qwerty: This information first came when a player wondered why an OCA which has over 50% from some mvp drop still didn't drop with gum on. And a gm replied with the rolling thing as the answer. I'm sure many experienced and credible players on this forums will give you the same answer. I know that irowiki's database uses the same formula I did since I got the same drop rate result that it did with gum on.

Location: iRO Iris | I was wondering if the blazer card works or is the drop rate extremely low. I have been using it with the following items elemental nile rose gaia sword cubic ribbion spare card all of which eventually drop their items albiet at varing rates. the blazer has never produced anything for me at all. I sure could use more crap in my storage. Also does the card require a melee attack to activate?

| I'm kinda interested in the first stage of the Gods Items quest - aka the "Random Equipment" reward for completing the Sleipnir portion of the quest. I was interested in just what kind of items might be available in the pool, cause I got an assassins mask the first try, and gonna try it again with another character. So far, the turn out has not been shabby :] |

| Heim, up for doing an upgrade test on Valk?
There is heavy fan speculation that enriched metals are working weird past 4+. Specifically that you will get better resultes +4-+5 using base elu/ori instead of enriched...but that 5-6 and 6-7 are better for enriched again. (*and then there's the fandom belief, even listed on irowiki, that enriched means nothing after +4 and you might as well use base ori / elu) |

| Most of these questions are regarding things that have been tested by players.
Mugsy/someone:
Get x% of damage back as hp/sp by y% chance when doing physical attacks effects do not work in frenzy. I tested this when rideword hat came out. Was very sad.
Re gum %:
The rolling thing is correct.
A test involving killing of a measured quantity of mushrooms (>5000, don't have the data handy) was carried out (or rather, was carried out concurrently with mushroom farming for profit), killing with gum. The observed drop rates were consistent with the multiple-roll effect of gum
The Squishy:
I emailed GMs about the blazzer card a while ago. It does work, the drop rate is just abysmal. I have gotten level 2 and 3 stat foods from it, as well as a whole crapload of nothing. Proc rate is 0.5-1%, and when it procs, most of the time it drops apples, banannas, and potatoes. It's more useless than jewel sword (abysmal drop rate of those 6k zeny jewels).
Euld: I question whether the GMs could convince them to fight eachother. They don't like eachother much because of their differing nature, but i think their mutual hatred for players is such that they'd be unlikely to come to blows.
And my money is on ifrit; his attack power is far higher, and while he'd take double damage from ktul's water attacks, ifrit has twice his hp, far more attack, and painful stuff like sonic blow, not to mention the salamanders in his mob.
sully7:
The proc rate should be the same.
If you have isilla sunnies, do the following:
Put on Isilla Sunnies.
Put on Isilla Upper.
Take off Isilla Upper.
Without changing maps or relogging, start doing magic attacks.
If isilla effect never procs, then they are implemented as a skill autocast, and do not stack.
If it does proc, it may or may not stack.
Kouga: There is no way to get slotted mid headgear in the game any more, through any means other than direct action of the GMs. It is unlikely that there will ever be a way to get slotted mid headgear again. |

If you search through heim's posts, he has stated explicitly atleast once that there was no way to get slotted mid headgear in game without GM action, and they claim that there are bugs/exploits with slotted mid headgear or something, and that is why they can't put them back in (i think the real reason is that the drama regarding them not being in game would be dwarfed by the drama they'd get if they were made available) |

Location: Ohio | I would love to see a percentage calculator of the average number of hits Desperado can do on a single target when standing next to the enemy. I want to know if there's actually a chance of getting 10 hits on the target (as much of a percentage as finding a card, my bet lol) unless someone knows for a fact that desperado can't actually hit a single target 10x
Also if it's proven that the closer you stand next to an enemy and use desperdo, the more damage it does? Thank you, much appreciated :3 |
