| To find the problem:
1. Start->Run->cmd
2. Type tracert iro.ragnarokonline.com and press enter.
3. It will display everything your computer bounces through to get to Gravity, and how long it takes, in milliseconds.
When you start getting *s or abnormally high times, that's where the problem is. (The exception is *s on the very first line, as that's just your personal router not accepting pings). If the problem starts right away, there's a problem on your end - could be bad hardware, spyware killing your bandwidth, etc. If the problem is somewhere in the middle, there's a bad router somewhere on the backbone of the net. Do a whois on that router (whois.domaintools.com), find out who owns it, and report it (send them the whole trace in case the actual problem is a hop or two away from where it appears to be) - most companies are pretty quick in fixing things once they're aware of an issue. |
